![]() It’s about listening to that gut feeling and acting in alignment with your inner knowing. Training the mind involves tuning into and trusting your instincts. Letting go isn’t easy, it takes practice and patience, so be kind to the part of you that finds it difficult. Accept what you can’t control, and let your best efforts be enough for now. Trying to control our lives and the people in them is a one-way ticket to anxiety and exhaustion. Soon enough, your toothbrush will become a mental cue for your meditation practice. Try adding meditation to a routine that’s already in place, like after brushing your teeth. Routine is the key to training the mind, and we have a built-in neurological system we can activate to support us. Try heading to bed an hour earlier than usual or taking an afternoon nap. So to show up in the world as our best selves, it’s crucial that we give ourselves quality time to recharge. It also improves memory, mood, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Sleep allows our brain (and body) to repair and recover. This should give you more time and space to focus on the people and projects that matter to you most. Try a digital clean-up, like minimizing notifications on your phone, or scheduling regular periods of technology-free time. We live in an age of digital distraction that can pull us away from what’s important and leave us feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. This could be anything from reading, listening to music, gardening, or completing a jigsaw puzzle - whatever works for you. Find an activity that feels restorative for you. You don’t have to be doing nothing or sleeping to be resting. Rest increases our focus, creativity, energy, and productivity. No different than taking a break in between sprints or a set of deadlifts, your brain needs time to reset and recharge too. Explore your senses - what can you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste? 3 | Rest your mind The trick is to catch yourself when you’re ruminating and invite yourself back to the present moment. We focused on three things for TheBrain 9: reliability, speed, and ease-of-use.It’s easy to get lost in overthinking, but this mental pattern can be distracting, unhelpful and exhausting. We knew from the outset that reliability is the foundation that everything else depends on. People put their trust into TheBrain as a platform for storing their most important information and it really doesn’t matter how sexy or cool it is if you are worried if your information is safe. As a result, we chose a database and storage architecture that is proven and time-tested. Additionally, we were able to improve the robustness of the sync process so that keeping multiple redundant copies of everything is a piece of cake. Speed and ease-of-use are really two sides of the same coin. They both serve to make the technology as invisible as possible. When you’re trying to capture an idea or organize your stuff you want to be able to concentrate all of your energy on just that. Any time you spend trying to figure out how the technology works or waiting for it to do something is a distraction. #THEBRAIN 9 DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE#We want to get that user interface “friction” down to zero so the software just disappears as much as possible. There’s been a lot of hype around the removal of Java from TheBrain 9. #THEBRAIN 9 DOWNLOAD WINDOWS#Java was great because it enabled us to release TheBrain for both Windows and macOS. However the limitations of Java have become more and more apparent recently. It was preventing us from some key things that we had as primary goals for the next generation of TheBrain technology. Namely: a native UI that fits in seamlessly with your OS and the ability to leverage the best-of-breed solutions for things like databases and embedded browsers. The move away from Java was a huge investment for us as a company and a significant risk. #THEBRAIN 9 DOWNLOAD CODE#It meant we had to rebuild over a decade worth of code inside of a single release cycle. When we started we didn’t really know if it was possible since abandoning Java also meant we had to find new ways of making a cross-platform solution. Not only do we have the native UI and best-of-breed solutions we were aiming for, but also the new code is much cleaner and provides a great foundation for version 9 and beyond. #Thebrain 9 login softwareįinally, we have been able to create native software for not just Windows and macOS, but also iOS and Android, platforms we really had trouble with when using a Java codebase. This release has been a major journey for the team. Without a doubt the hardest part of creating TheBrain 9 has been living up to TheBrain 8. A dedicated team started working on TheBrain 9 at the same time as work began on TheBrain 8. #Thebrain 9 login codeĪfter a year of development version 8 was ready for release and it seemed like the new code for version 9 was well on the way to replicating the core features of TheBrain. The team that worked on version 8 was now able to reinforce the version 9 team. ![]()
